Nothing means more to her than her friends and family, and she cherishes every moment spent with them. New York Times/USA Today bestselling author Melanie Moreland, lives a happy and content life in a quiet area of Ontario with her beloved husband of twenty-seven-plus years and their rescue cat, Amber. John Lane and Maxine Mitchell were the perfect selections for Julian and Taliyah and did a great job of bringing the characters and story to life. Other than Julian not being quite what I pictured from the other books, I did enjoy the book as a whole. I liked the beginning, lost respect for Taliyah in the middle, and loved the ending when we got the original Men of Hidden Justice all back together. Both Julian and Taliyah have their secrets and made mistakes. Since the beginning of the Men of Hidden Justice series, I have been waiting for Julian’s story. Now that Julian knows where Taliyah is, he is determined to get her back. Julian had secrets he was keeping that Taliyah found out about and walked away without a word. Julian was a smart man and always trusted his instincts until Taliyah walked into his office for an interview and threw him for a loop. I ignored the mocking laughter in my head. I was doing well with ignoring the pretty woman I’d hired to be my secretary. Tropes… romantic suspense, secret society, second chance romance
